Collecting Volunteer Hours for School

Ways to Confirm Your Volunteer Hours

We often hear from students who need confirmation of their volunteer hours when they’re getting ready to graduate—sometimes a year or two after they’ve volunteered. To make things easier for you (and avoid any last-minute stress!), here are a few simple ways to keep track of your hours:

Follow your school’s guidelines
Your school will usually have specific requirements for tracking volunteer hours. If you’re not sure what they are, you can check your school board’s website (see links below). Most schools ask you to fill out a form and have an area leader sign it each day you volunteer. This is the easiest and most reliable way to make sure your hours are properly recorded.

Check your schedule in Bloomerang (if needed)
If you’ve misplaced your form or didn’t get it signed, don’t worry—you can still log into Bloomerang and view your profile. From there, you can download your schedule, and any completed shifts will be clearly marked.

A quick note about privacy
To protect your information, if someone else (like a parent or teacher) reaches out on your behalf, we won’t be able to share your details. It’s up to you to provide them with accurate information about your volunteer participation.
